Welcome to LP Vinyl Music
Except as indicated, all of the vinyl for sale on the site is part of my personal collection, stored vertically in my living room and played only on the highest quality turntable and cartridge, with very light tracking and is NEAR MINT. Many of the records were only played once and some not at all. Some are even still shrinkwrapped, as indicated below, and many of the shrinkwrapped are SEALED AND NEW - never played.
Some of the recordings listed below have recently become available again on vinyl. Aside from the fact that today's new vinyl pressings are very expensive, they are mastered from a digital master! They are NOT analog. So for those of you who love vinyl in part because the recording and mastering process was analog, the only way to get the albums as originally released is to buy the original 1960s-1970s pressings. That's what we have here.
Promotional Recordings: Many of the albums below are "promotional". They have a label or imprint on the jacket indicating as such and that they are intended for radio use. However, none of these albums (except perhaps for some of the radio interview albums) were ever used in a radio station. Many collectors prefer promotional pressings and feel that they're worth more because they were usually pressed during the first pressing cycle.
Sleeves and inserts: All original sleeves and inserts are included.
Condition: EXCEPT AS INDICATED, all vinyl is "very good" or better and much is NEAR MINT or better. Having said that, these are 1960s-70s-80s American pressings and they weren't always the best quality. And some do have noisy surfaces. All jackets are "Good" or better. The biggest problem with some of the jackets are small tears on the spines as the acid in the jacket paper has deteriorated over time. But most are far better than what you'd find in the used department of any record store and far better then the junk sold on auction sites, eBay and most record flea markets. If you have any questions about condition, please contact us before ordering. All records sold absolutely "as-is".
NOTE NEW LOWER PRICES ON MANY ITEMS, newly marked down on 1/24/24.

The Beatles
A piece of History. . . The Beatles Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962 (2)
Lingasong LNL1
Double LP. Gatefold
$24 (was $40)
Very rare Beatles, recorded in 1962 in the back of a Hamburg club with a Wollensack tape recorder and released in 1977. This is where it all started. 26 tracks including an early version of "I Saw Her Standing There" and tons of rock standards, such as "Roll Over Beethoven", "Sweet Little Sixteen", "Kansas City", "To Know Her Is To Love Her", "Little Queenie", "Hallelujah, I Love Her So", "Matchbox", "Long Tall Sally" and more.
There are two versions of this record: this version is the original German version and contains "I Saw Her Standing There", "Twist & Shout", "Reminiscing" and "Ask Me Why" which are not included on the second release.
If you're a Beatles completist, you can't be without this 26-track double-LP.
The Beatles
Introducing the Beatles
VeeJay VJLP1062
$15 (was $25)
On July 22, 1963, this became the first Beatles album released in the U.S. (although some historians claim it wasn't actually released until early 1964). Capitol didn't want to release it, so EMI licensed the tracks to VeeJay. No longer available in this form (it was replaced by the British "Please Please Me" and the American "The Early Beatles"). Stereo/Bracket style logo. This album was released in three different major versions (and about 50 minor variations) with the same label number. This is the first release, with the original version of "Love Me Do" (Ringo on tambourine, session drummer Andy White on drums) and "P.S. I Love You". Since Capitol had the rights to those songs, they sued and VeeJay rushed out a different version of the album with "Ask Me Why" and "Please, Please Me" instead of those two songs. (A third version was later released). According to Wikipedia, only 80,000 copies of the first version were ever pressed and only a small percentage of those were in stereo.
This is generally assumed to be the most counterfeited album of all time and this copy appears to be a counterfeit. However, it is still valuable for collectors who want to own all versions of this rarity. It has never been officially released on CD in the U.S. or UK. An original sealed stereo copy of a legit version might sell for $50,000. Even though this is the bootleg, it usually sells in used record shops for $30.
The Beatles
Let It Be
Apple AR34001
$30 SOLD
The last released Beatles album, produced by Phil Spector. This has always been described as the Beatles breakup record, but it was actually recorded BEFORE Abbey Road - it was only released after because no one wanted to edit all the tapes. In retrospect, the songs are actually kind of nice.
This contains different versions of "Let It Be", "Across the Universe" and "Get Back" than the 45RPM singles versions.
The Beatles
Rarities (UK version)
Parlophone IA038-06867; PCM 1001
$23 (was $29)
Not to be confused with the American "Rarities", which was completely different, this 17-track album was released in 1979 in England to cover most of the tracks that had never made it to the regular British LPs. It includes the version of "Across the Universe" that had only appeared on a compilation album called "No One's Gonna Change Our World"; "Bad Boy", which was released in the U.S. on Beatles VI, but had only been released in the UK on the "A Collection of Oldies. . ." compilation and the following rare tracks, which had only been released in the UK on singles or EP's: "Yes It Is", "This Boy", "The Inner Light", "I'll Get You", "Kobb Gib Mir Deine Hand", "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)", "Sie Leibt Dicht", "Rain", "She's A Woman", "Matchbox", "I Call Your Name", "Slow Down", "I'm Down" and "Long Tall Sally". Quality German pressing on the original Parlophone label.

$19
The third Rolling Stone album released in the U.S. Recorded in 1964 and released in February of 1965, this album, partially recorded at Chess Studios in Chicago, represents the Stones as a blues and soul band. In addition to some Jagger-Richards songs like "Heart of Stone", it contains songs from the rock/blues canon, such as "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love", Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me"; Willie Dixon's "Little Red Rooster" (also recorded by Howlin' Wolf) and others. It's a must have and it's actually better than the UK sort of equivalent "The Rolling Stones #2".

1971. With Rick Derringer, Randy Jo Hobbs and Bobby Caldwell. You don't hear much about Winter today, but he was a cross-eye albino Texas bluesman who set the guitar world on fire with his incredible playing. Highly influential. We lost him in July of 2014 at the age of 70.
This album includes live versions of "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Johnny B. Goode" and a medley that includes "Great Balls of Fire", "Long Tall Sally" and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On", plus other tracks
